If you’re not seeing anything here, and you’d still like to apply, or perhaps you’re making plans for the year ahead, then by all means get in touch using the details on our Contact Us page. We look forward to hearing from you.

- Be able to produce freshly cooked food from base ingredients to high standards, including breakfasts and meals throughout the day and evening.
- Thrive working under pressure at times. Like most catering operations, when we’re busy, we’re very busy!
- Be keen to learn new skills and make a positive contribution to a highly reputable food business.
Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience. Sorry, no live in accommodation is available.

General Assistant - Full Time
Working both in the Alehouse throughout the day and evening, and also in our Restaurant in the evenings, The Grog & Gruel is seeking a bright, bubbly, conscientious and easy going general assistant to join the team.
Duites include all those that you would expect of working in a food and drink business, from opening up and preparing for the day, stocking up and then serving customers. Food is served throughout the day and highly efficient food service is a very important part of the role.

Shifts will vary. However, we always aim to provide straight shifts where possible. Some split shifts will be required, though equally straight shifts are provided as much as possible. Days off are usually 2 from 7, and weekly hours in the order of 40 per week. Morning shifts start from 11am (possibly 10am). Late finishes are required when working in the evening.
Perks included a share of generally very healthy tips.
Contracts are offered on a full time basis through to the end of October with the option for review to year round employment.
