During very quiet periods, the restaurant may close Sunday - Wednesday

In such circumstances, we would aim to offer a full Alehouse menu.

Table Reservations

So, table for 4 at 8pm is it?

Sorry, but we don't accept reservations in the restaurant. We've only got a limited number of tables and they're often in demand, so we give preference to those who are already there, ready and waiting.

That's poor customer service is it not?

Quite the contrary, we think. Our advice is by all means let us know that you're coming. We'll try and keep an eye out for you and if we can get you seated we will. However, in the event that we can't, simply add your name to the waiting list, retire to the Alehouse for a swift half, and we'll call you as soon as your table comes free.

On the hoof

No, horse hasn't made it on to the menu. But we have had an increasing number of requests to feed those tired and hungry folk coming off Ben Nevis at some late hour of the evening, usually all in the name of some 3 peaks in 24 hours for charity number.

Contact us if you'd like a takeaway organising - our homemade pizzas or a big bowl of Hog's Breath Chilli seem to go down a treat (although what its like in a Ford Transit half an hour down the road is anyone's guess).

Pre-book your menu, and give us a call when you're 20 mins away.
