Seasonal Ales

A selection of seasonal ales brewed at different times of year to reflect the changing seasons and tastes. Don't expect to see these all the time in The Grog & Gruel, but we do stock different ales as and when they come available.

White Lady Wheat Beer, 4.7% ABV
Cairngorm Brewery

This is a typical cloudy wheat beer with a Bavarian influence. it has hints of orange and spices for a warming winters brew.

Suilven Ale, 4.3% ABV
An Teallach Brewery

This cask ale has just arrived in the grog and gruel cellar for the first time. all we can tell you at this point is that it is "very hoppy" so said Davy Orr the brewer. Well worth popping down to try this new addition to the An Teallach range.

Red Squirrel Ale, 4.6% ABV
Atlas Brewery

This traditional red coloured winter brew has been very popular over the last few sessions. Malty Winter brew deceptively drinkable for a beer with slightly higher abv. Part of the proceeds from this ale will go to helping to save the endangered Scottish red squirrel.

Glenfinnan Dark Ale, 5.2% ABV
Glenfinnan Brewery

Brewed at the end of the year for a more malty and less bitter flavour - with winter in mind.
