Hebridean Brewing Company, Stornoway

This island brewery was set up in 2001 on a steam powered plant with a 14 barrel brew length. Famous for its seasonal ales made for the Mod regularly winning awards for many ales from their main range. Owned by Andrew Murdo Ribbens who gained his experience from working at the Freeminer Brewery in the Forest of Dean and The Flagship Brewery in Kent.

Clansman Ale, 3.9% ABV Golden Hebridean Bitter, brewed with Scottish malts. Lightly bittered, a session ale with a light golden colour. A good 'all day' ale with hop and malt character, with lots of malt in the finish. Lightly hopped to give a subtle bittering. A good session ale.
Islander, 4.8% ABV Brewed with special coloured Scots malts, deep ruby in colour and predominantly malty with robust hopping match. Complex like the Hebrides themselves. Deceptively drinkable for an ale with such a high ABV.
Celtic Black Ale, 3.9% ABV A dark porter style ale full of flavour,balancing an aromatic hop combined with a subtle bite and a pleasantly smooth caramel after taste.
