The Standard Ale - 4.2%.A mid brown, well hopped (bitter) ale brewed using a selection of North American aromatic hops and British Pale and Crystal malts to give it a distinctive "nose" and taste. Glenfinnan Gold - 4.0%.As the name suggests, a yellowish/gold ale brewed with summer in mind from a variety of malts and a blend of Cascade and First Gold hops to give a tangy refreshing bitterness. The name "Gold Ale" reflects both its colour and the £4,000 (present value many millions of £) of gold which went missing near Glenfinnan during the Jacobite rebellion of 1745 - 1746. | ![]() |
