From unusual fillings to dishes with an unexpected sausage, we hope to tempt your taste buds and give you a grand filling with one of our sumptuous sausages. Our chefs are currently working on new recipes for both our Alehouse and Restaurant with the help of our local butcher in the hope of making our easter ale festival go with a bang(er!)
A great line up of events is planned for the week. We will be featuring the same band as last year "100 man orchestra" as they travel North on their Scottish tour on Friday 2nd April. The following week we will be featuring the band "Celtic Heart" also passing through town as part of a larger Scottish tour. We are currently working on selecting a quiz master in an X factor like way. For those who have previously attended a Grog n Gruel quiz you'll understand such a prestigious position requires just the right person Quiz night competition can be quite fierce. More events will be added as time goes on but be assured a visit to The Grog and Gruel during our ale festival will be well worth it.
